Berhan Bank S.C., established in accordance with Article 304 of the Commercial Code of Ethiopia, commenced operations on October 3, 2009, with its inaugural branch located in Bole, Addis Ababa. The bank was officially registered and licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia on June 27, 2009, with an authorized capital of 300 million Birr and a subscribed capital of 154.7 million Birr, divided into shares of 1,000 Birr each.
