American College of Technology (ACT) in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, is implementing a large scale youth apprenticeship program. The program aims to facilitate job matching, placement, and ongoing monitoring for selected youth, supporting their transition into the workforce and enhancing their employability.
About the Role
The Project Officer will support the implementation of field-level activities, including firm engagement, youth coordination, apprenticeship placement, and monitoring. The role involves close interaction with youth, firms, and local stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct firm registration, assessment, and evaluation visits
Support preparation and review of firm training plans
Facilitate job matching and coordinate interviews between youth and firms
Organize and support orientation sessions and job fairs
Assist in contract collection and documentation
Conduct regular monitoring visits to firms and apprentices
Collect and manage program data (IDF, IDY, reports, etc.)
Provide coaching and support to youth and firms
Prepare regular reports on progress and challenges
Collaborate with OSSCs and local stakeholders
Required Qualifications & Experience
BA Degree in human resource management, economics, public management, marketing management, social studies, business management, or related fields
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Experience in apprenticeships, coaching, mentoring, and working with multiple stakeholders
Experience in youth-focused projects
Experience in supporting and coaching adolescents and youth
Experience in job linkage and job creation
Proven experience working with private sector organizations
